Terms and Conditions
1. CHECK-IN TIME is after 4 pm CST and CHECK-OUT TIME is 10 am CST. Please no early check-in or late check-out, unless approved ahead of your stay.
2. SMOKING is not allowed inside the property / porches / decks
3. PETS are not permitted on the property or in the cottage under any conditions.
4. 24 YEARS OF AGE is the minimum age to rent.
5. SECURITY DEPOSIT – A security deposit has been paid. The security deposit is fully refundable within fourteen (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
a. There is no damage to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets, or collection of rents or services
c. All debris, trash and discards are placed properly in container(s) provided outside of the cottage. Dishes, glassware etc. are to be left clean, one load of cleaned dishes are acceptable to be left in the dishwasher.
d. All keys that are provided in the cottage and in the lockbox are left after your stay.
e. All linens shall be left accounted for and undamaged.
f. The Renter is not evicted by the Owner (or representative of the owner), local law enforcement, or the security company employed by “The Home Owners Association”
6. DAILY CLEANING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the cottage, daily cleaning service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the property at anytime.
7. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY of this short term vacation rental is 10 (ten) people, as permitted on the Short Term Rental Certificate
8. PARKING There is a maximum number of 2 (two) vehicles allowed to be parked in the drive/parking space only. Parking on other areas on the property or on the street is prohibited. No other off site parking is available.
9. NOTICE Regarding the County’s Noise Ordinance (Article 5 – Noise, Walton County Code of Ordinances) there is potential civil infraction fines up to $500.00 and/or potential criminal offense violation between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
10. HURRICANE AND/OR STORM EVACUATION
EMERGENCY EVACUATION ORDER All transient occupants must evacuate from the short-term vacation rental property immediately upon posting of any emergency evacuation order issued by local, state, or federal authorities. A copy of a map showing evacuation routes is in the cottage on a laminated with general instructions and information. 11. HURRICANE/STORM POLICY The day that mandatory evacuation order is issued for the area of the vacation rental we will refund:
a. Any unused portion of the rent to the current guest on the rental agreement
b. Any unused portion of the rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive and wants to shorten their stay and wants to arrive after the evacuation order is lifted.
c. Any advance rents collected and on deposit for a reservation scheduled to arrive during the evacuation order
Payment Schedule
- Initial Deposit: A 50% deposit is required upon booking.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due 30 days prior to check in.
Cancellation Policy
- If a cancellation occurs 60+ days prior to check-in, your Initial Deposit will be refunded back and the Remaining Balance will not be charged.
- If a cancellation occurs 31-59 days prior to check-in, your Initial Deposit will not be refunded back and the Remaining Balance will not be charged.
- If a cancellation occurs 0-30 days prior to check-in, your Initial Deposit and Remaining Balance will not be refunded back.
